The first in a series, this comet sculpture features two satellite comets orbiting a larger one as they fly through space. The fully lampworked glass comets are sprayed with a titanium fume, giving the glass a metallic finish. The comets are mounted onto a steel background that has been worked with various tools and then lacquered. Once hung on a wall, the sculpture stands an inch off the wall, giving a strong shadow line under the piece. Measures approx. 10 inches by 25 inches by 7 inches deep. Artists: Ben Kappen and Brad Chun.
