The second in a series, this comet sculpture shows two small satellite comets dancing around a bigger one as they descend towards a fiery sun. The comets' firetrails curl and twist around each other, detailed with "wig-wag" patterns in the colored glass. The comets are mounted onto a steel background that has been burnished with various power tools, creating a corona effect around the shining brass sun. Once hung on a wall, the sculpture stands an inch off the wall, giving a striking shadow line under the piece. Measures approx. 10 inches by 28 inches by 6 inches deep. Artists: Ben Kappen and Brad Chun.
